Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.

Bike tour along the Inn

Biking along the Innradweg with a leisurely tour that is also suitable for children and allows for a stop at the Trofana Tyrol.

We cycled through the city towards Innsbruck until we reached Zams. There we turned onto the Inn cycle path and followed it to Imst. Then the short ascent began, first towards Imst centre, then up to the Galgenbichl. We returned on the main road to Landeck.

The tour can also be done with children. We stopped at the Trofana Tyrol. There is also a large playground there.

We returned along the cycle path!

Meranz Alm - guided mountain hike

This guided hike leads through the middle of the magnificent mountain world to the cosy alpine pastures on the Venet. Of course there is the possibility to eat a hearty “Marend” and drink a glass of fresh milk or buttermilk.

In addition, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape with the view of the surrounding mountains. From the mountain station of the Venet cable car at 2,208 m, probably the best-known panoramic mountain in Western Tyrol, we followed the circular hiking trail, here we took a leisurely walk past one of the play stations. Then we walked along the Bettlersteig and the reservoir pond, which invites you to linger, past the Zammer Alm. We went back first by gondola and then on foot.

Natural spectacle Zammer Lochputz

The unique natural spectacle in the Zammer Lochputz – the mystical gorge of Tyrol – is accessible to young and old thanks to a boardwalk.

Starting from Tyrol’s oldest hydroelectric power station, paths and tunnels led us through the gorge to the Lötzer waterfall, where the water of the Lötzbach river roars down over 30 metres. These water masses have dug into the mountain over centuries and formed unique rock formations. Above the waterfall, for example, there is a stone bull’s head, the Zammer Lochputz and the head of a water nymph. There is a mythical legend surrounding these two formations. We were enchanted!

Stanzer Zwetschke enjoyment route - schnapps culture in its purest

The sheltered sunny location, the dry and warm climate, skilful irrigation and the industriousness of the locals have created a plum paradise in Stanz. The famous “Stanzer Zwetschke” grows there. Of the 160 households in the municipality, 53 exercise distilling rights.

The hike took us from the mountain village of Grins to the Grinner Kneipp facility and through the orchards to the distillery village of Stanz. There we had the opportunity to talk to the distiller in the show distillery and were also allowed to taste a small sip.
